Bayer partners with IRPC aiming for innovations in paint and coatings to reach global standards.

Dr. Worawat Chaiyosburan, Chief Executive Officer of the Beger Group, and Mr. Krit Insaeng, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of IRPC Public Company Limited, jointly signed a memorandum of understanding for the Paint & Coatings business development project officially on June 21. The aim is to create added value for products that meet consumer demands, as well as to follow the eco-friendly concept that Beger has always prioritized.

This collaboration brings together innovations specially developed by IRPC researchers, such as Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), combined with paint and coating innovations from the Beger research team to achieve more efficient products. This includes extending the lifespan of steel structures by up to three times, making it suitable forsteel structuressuch as oil refineries, petrochemical plants, airports, ports, and bridges, without the need for frequent maintenance that could negatively impact the environment. The products are durable against the severe weather conditions of ASEAN countries and are also environmentally friendly due to a production process that reduces greenhouse gas emissions into the atmosphere.

Furthermore, the collaboration in developing paint and coating innovations is a significant step for both companies to help reduce the import of paint products from abroad and enhance the competitiveness of the domestic paint and coating manufacturing industry sustainably, aligning with the business vision committed to creating, promoting, and passing on innovations for the world, the environment, and the well-being of people in communities and society.
