Bayer expands activities by introducing the “Sirimongkol” color palette to create cultural value.

Mr. Totsapon Hanpaisarn, Marketing Manager of Bayer Co., Ltd., a leader in innovative eco-friendly paint, represented the company in donating a special color set product “Sirimongkol” consisting of 32 gallons to support the activity “Beautiful Colors, Beautiful Gardens, Joyful in Saranrom” under the project of extracting the color palette of the glazed tiles of Wat Ratchabophit, extending to create value and worth for products based on cultural capital at Saranrom Park. This is to demonstrate the importance and value of the glazed tiles of Wat Ratchabophit, which is a temple of great significance in Thai art and architecture that inspires creativity through the perspective of product creation. This activity is a continuation from the exhibition “Colors of Wat Ratchabophit” held in March 2023.

The event was honored by Mr. Sanan Wongsaengboon, Deputy Governor of Bangkok, as the chairman of the opening ceremony, along with Mr. Theerawat Boonsom, Director of the Research Promotion and Support Division, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Namfon Lai-Sattru-Klai, President of the Association for the Development of Thai Arts and Crafts, and Head of Saranrom Park. Professor Chalit Nakphawan served to convey the aesthetics from the color set of the glazed tiles of Wat Ratchabophit to the surrounding community through art, inspired by the color palette of the glazed tiles of Wat Ratchabophit. This time, the “Sirimongkol” color set, consisting of 32 shades created by a group of researchers and product developers from Bayer Innovation Center, was used to add color to Saranrom Park, which is a public space of the community that shares a historical connection with Wat Ratchabophit from the past to the present, through the creation of a neighborhood using colors from the tiles of Wat Ratchabophit, which is the cultural capital of that area, and to serve as a pilot area for creating neighborhoods with colors in other areas in the future.
