Bayerthe leader in innovative, eco-friendly colors led by Dr. Worawat Chaiyosburan, Chief Executive Officer of Bayer Paint Group, along with volunteer employees, participated in the opening ceremony of the “Colorful Bang Lamphu” activity, continuing the project to restore the old city in the area of Khlong Phadung Krung Kasem, Khlong Ong Ang, Khlong Ku Muang Deem, and Khlong Bang Lamphu by delivering the eco-friendly paint product “Bayer Cool” to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chatchart Sitthiphan, Governor of Bangkok, while also painting buildings and improving the landscape along the banks of Khlong Bang Lamphu to bring back vibrancy and beauty while preserving the unique cultural heritage.
Bayer has supported the product “Bayer Cool,” a carbon-reducing, eco-friendly innovative paint for landscape improvement in this activity, with a total value of over 280,000 baht. This marks a continuation of collaborative social activities with Bangkok since the Beautiful Colors, Beautiful Parks, Joyful in Serenity project and the Bangkok Landscape Improvement project in 2023. The “Colorful Bang Lamphu” activity this time selected colors from a special color set, includingRuby Red from the auspicious color setand other shades such as 139-1 Carbon Coal, 117-6 Run for the Roses, 117-5 Victoria Vanity, 121-5 Raspberry Ice, 122-6 Regal Rose, and 114-5 Rose Trellis. These colors not only stand out for their beautiful and durable appearance but also help keep buildings cooler through ceramic cooling innovation, which reflects and blocks heat. Additionally, Bayer Cool paint helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions while making Bangkok a livable city with truly eco-friendly colors.
The “Colorful Bang Lamphu” activity started from the area between Uthasawat Bridge and Narathiwat Bridge, covering a total distance of 200 meters, with 29 participating buildings that are old structures with unique designs and architecture. This area is also part of the Rattanakosin Island district and its surrounding areas. Therefore, Bangkok chose colors that reflect the identity from Bayer’s color set, which can be seen in the murals, and incorporated local nature to create colors for this occasion to restore the landscape of the Bang Lamphu area, which holds value and significance for Bangkok, to enhance its beauty. Furthermore, it aims to encourage the public to come out and enjoy life in the new public space along the canal in Bangkok more, as well as to support the Colorful Bangkok activities taking place in the Bang Lamphu area.
