Bayerannounced its vision to become a leader in sustainable low-carbon construction materials by participating in the “Net Zero Pathway Plan” under the supervision ofthe Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (Public Organization)orTGOwhich marks another important step for the Thai building paint industry in systematically developing standards for reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
The announcement ceremony was held at the Conference Hall of the Thailand Institute of Justice (TIJ) on Chaeng Watthana Road, with representatives from government agencies and environmental regulatory organizations attending as witnesses. This marks the beginning of an important journey to elevate the Thai construction sector towards the “Net Zero” approach in a concrete manner.
Elevating industry standards for sustainable carbon reduction
Participation in the “Net Zero Pathway Plan” aims to set a framework for reducing greenhouse gas emissions in line with international standards, covering everything from carbon data in the production process, identifying emission sources at every stage, to establishing measurable carbon reduction measures in the short, medium, and long term.
Bayer emphasizes every process, from raw materials, transportation, to developing innovative products that help reduce carbon for consumers, in line with theTGO – Thailand’s GHG Mitigation Frameworkto drive the Thai paint industry towards the goal of “Green Building” sustainably.
Certification of the Carbon Footprint of Product (CFP) standard covers over 177 SKUs.
On the same occasion, Dr. Worawat Chaiyosburan, Executive of Bayer Co., Ltd., received the Carbon Footprint of Product (CFP) certificate from the Greenhouse Gas Management Organization, covering more than 177 SKUs that passed the assessment according to TGO criteria. This achievement makes Bayer one of the paint companies with the highest number of certified products in Thailand, reinforcing the organization’s commitment to transparent and verifiable carbon management in accordance with international standards.

Dr. Worawat stated,
