Bayer continues its commitment and concept of Eco-Wellness Innovation, an innovation in color that cares for the world and loves you, towards a tangible and sustainable green business. It is adjusting its operational direction comprehensively throughout the process to achieve the goal of reducing carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere by 5,500 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent by 2032, as well as raising awareness of environmental friendliness in Thai society.<\/p>\n

Dr. Worawat Chaiyosburan, CEO of Bayer Group, revealed that Bayer is ready to drive into a tangible and sustainable green business by adjusting the mindset of its employees to align with environmental awareness and care, while passing this concept on to target groups or consumers of its products, such as<\/p>\n

research and development of products that create innovations meeting both usage needs and improving quality of life without impacting the environment or minimizing environmental issues.<\/p>\n

The production process from upstream to downstream uses environmentally friendly production systems that can recycle waste from the production process for maximum benefit (Circular economy), thereby reducing waste to the world or approaching zero (Almost zero waste), as well as reducing energy consumption and wasteful raw materials by turning to renewable resources from nature, such as using clean energy from sunlight or solar cells within the factory, reducing coal energy use. <\/span>Using bio-based raw materials that can be replanted in the production process<\/span><\/a><\/strong><\/u>and so on.<\/p>\n

Products delivered to users both directly and indirectly are those that have undergone research and development, focusing on durability, allowing for cost-effective use of products. In the long term, this helps the world reduce unnecessary production, or if production is necessary, it can choose products that have the least impact on the world. For residents in homes\/buildings that choose Bayer products, they also help reduce energy use and carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere, such as choosingBayer Cool<\/span><\/a><\/strong><\/u>which is effective in reflecting heat, keeping rooms cool and reducing air conditioning energy use.<\/p>\n

In addition to adjusting the operational direction within the organization, Bayer is ready to be part of society and the world in helping to reduce greenhouse gas emissions according to the COP26 agreement (the 26th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change) by aiming to reduce carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere by 5,500 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent by 2032, or an average of about 550 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent per year.<\/p>\n

For Bayer’s production process in the automatic inline vacuum system, or simply calledAVID (Automatic Vacuum Inline Dispersion)<\/span><\/a><\/strong><\/u>which is the first and only one using this system in Southeast Asia, plays a significant role in enhancing production efficiency to produce higher quality products while reducing the use of energy, labor, and time, as well as reducing waste generated from production. It can reuse 100% of the wastewater generated from the production process (100% Reused Cleaning Water), reducing electricity consumption by 85.39% per year and reducing carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere. Bayer thus helps reduce air pollution, wastewater, and other production waste that may impact surrounding communities. It can be said that this is about \u201creducing excess, increasing deficits, and truly creating production potential.\u201d<\/p>\n

Part of Bayer’s commitment to driving a tangible and sustainable green business is evidenced by over 37 popular innovative products that have received carbon label certificationfrom the Green Label Project, Thailand Environmental Institute<\/span><\/a><\/strong><\/u>for environmentally friendly paint products due to the excellence of advanced production innovations that help reduce pollution from the production process itself, aligning with current consumer values regarding environmental care. Bayer paint is thus considered an alternative product that allows consumers to participate in reducing carbon dioxide and greenhouse gas emissions, and it is also another marketing mechanism that encourages various businesses to pay more attention to consumer environmental demands.<\/p>\n
