Dr. Worawat Chaiyossapoon Chief Executive OfficerBeger Groupreceived the award for excellence, which is a prestigious honor on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the National Innovation Award for the building paint product“BegerCool UV Shield (BegerCool UV Shield)”an energy-saving heat-reflective paint, awarded in recognition of organizations that have received the National Innovation Award for no less than 10 years, and also stands out in practical application, with works currently in use that are widely recognized and accepted. The usage rate has increased from the past to the present, and importantly, there has been ongoing development leading to new products or new service formats that provide benefits aligned with sustainable development in the economy, society, and environment. The event was honored byDr. Kritphak Boonfuang Director of the National Innovation Office (Public Organization)who presented the award plaque at the Chatr Ballroom, Siam Kempinski Hotel, Bangkok on October 4th.
This achievement is not only at the level of the building paint business but also ranks number 1 in the national industrial sector! The competition this year was considered challenging, with very stringent selection criteria, with over 300 participants from across the country, having gone through three careful selection rounds. Thanks to Beger’s dedication to creating groundbreaking innovations, we have proudly secured the top position. This is another significant step that demonstrates our commitment to inventing and developing products that not only meet consumer needs but also enhance sustainability for the environment and society. The National Innovation Award is organized bythe National Innovation Office(Public Organization) or NIA, under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), which has been continuously awarding since 2005 on National Innovation Day or October 5th of every year, to honor and commemorate His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great, reinforcing the greatness to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the National Innovation Award competition, honoring Thai innovators from all sectors who have initiated outstanding innovations beneficial to organizations, society, and the country, including the public sector, private sector, and education sector. Over the past 20 years, more than 5,925 works have been submitted for the National Innovation Award, with over 302 works recognized that have had economic, social, and environmental impacts on the country, valued at over 134,347 million baht or more than 6,717 million baht per year.
The criteria for the honorary award consideration consist of three points:
- 1. The organization has received the National Innovation Award for no less than 10 years (awarded the National Innovation Award in 2005-2017).
- 2. The organization has works that have received the National Innovation Award that are still in continuous practical use, with works currently recognized and widely accepted, and the usage rate has continuously increased from the past to the present.
- 3. The organization has continuously developed and extended the awarded National Innovation works, leading to new products, new production processes, or new service formats that provide benefits in terms of the economy, society, or the environment of the country.
